A 64-year-old man’s death has been ruled as a homicide by a Pennsylvania coroner’s office. The cause of death was attributed to injuries he sustained almost 40 years ago.

On June 5th, at the Inners Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, Craig Tschudy passed away and was pronounced dead at 11:25 a.m. The center is situated approximately 100 miles west of Philadelphia.

In a press release on Wednesday, the York County Coroner’s Office revealed that the cause of death was a diffuse traumatic brain injury and classified it as a homicide.

Back in New York City 38 years ago, Tschudy, who was only 26 at the time, found himself a victim of mistaken identity and suffered a brutal baseball bat attack at the hands of his unknown attackers.

Tschudy was left with a permanent traumatic brain injury as a result of the assault, but unfortunately, no charges were filed since the authorities were unable to identify a suspect.

On Wednesday, the coroner’s office announced that no charges would be filed as the attackers could not be identified.

The statement clarified that despite the passage of 38 years, Tschudy’s injuries were ultimately deemed to have led to her death, and the case was officially classified as a homicide with no statute of limitations in coroner cases.

According to an online obituary from the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, PeeWee Tschudy, as he was known, had a fondness for weightlifting and enjoyed cruising around town in his wheelchair.

According to the statement, PeeWee was a York local and a warm-hearted individual who had devoted his entire life to the city. He was frequently seen visiting the York City Police Department and spending time there.

According to the statement, he took great pride in his ability to hunt and successfully shoot a deer during his younger years.

The office of the coroner stated that they would not conduct an autopsy.
