An investigation is underway by the Denver Police Department to determine the cause of a fatal incident that claimed a woman’s life in the early hours of the morning. The authorities have arrested the driver after locating them.
According to Denver Police, a report of a collision came in at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Thursday at the crossroads of Alameda and Dayton. The incident caused the closure of the westbound lanes of Alameda for a few hours. Upon the arrival of CBS Colorado First Alert Traffic Team, two vehicles with significant damage were observed at the scene. Our team remained present at the site for four hours while the investigation was ongoing.
According to the authorities, the woman who was involved in the accident was rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries but unfortunately passed away. The driver who was involved in the incident was later found and taken into custody. The man, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, is currently being held for investigation on charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash.
