The Los Altos Police Department, in collaboration with the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, has completed its investigation into the unfortunate deaths of Los Altos residents Steven Hooper (74), and Chris Cryer (66).
On Tuesday, January 16, at 1:20 PM, the discovery of the deceased’s remains prompted a welfare check at a home in the 200 block of West Edith Avenue.
Following rigorous forensic analysis and toxicology testing, the cause of death for both people was determined to be the combined use of alcohol and different narcotics. Investigators discovered no evidence of foul play or intentional harm.
