On his Truth Social site, Trump praised Elise Stefanik as an outstanding representative for the people of New York’s 21st Congressional District. He described her as an America First Patriot who is fighting against the Marxists, Fascists, and Communists on the Radical Left to protect our country.
Stefanik’s efforts to support the military and veterans, boost economic growth, lower inflation, promote American energy, and secure the Southern Border have been commended by the former president.
On Friday, he gave his Complete and Total Endorsement to Elise Stefanik, describing her as SMART, STRONG, and TOUGH.
Stefanik, who currently serves as the chair of the Republican conference, has been steadily climbing the ranks within the GOP for quite some time now. However, her popularity skyrocketed after she asked university presidents about the prevalence of on-campus antisemitism during a hearing last year. As a result, there have been rumors circulating that she may join Trump on the ballot this upcoming fall.
In 2013, Stefanik achieved a remarkable feat by winning New York’s 21st Congressional District, flipping the district and becoming the first Republican to seize the seat in 21 years. The Hill/Decision Desk HQ reports that the district is considered a secure Republican stronghold.
This week, Stefanik, along with her Democratic opponent, Paula Collins, will not be competing in the primary election. Instead, both of them will advance to the general election as the only candidates representing their respective parties.
She has emerged as one of the staunchest supporters of Trump on Capitol Hill. She even came to his defense when he was found guilty in his recent hush money trial, exhibiting an unwavering loyalty towards the GOP nominee.
In the previous month, she avoided answering a question regarding whether Trump had talked about her as a potential running mate. She mentioned that there were numerous individuals being considered for the position.
There has been a lot of talk about who Trump will select as his running mate. The President has indicated that he will reveal his choice at the Republican National Convention, which is set to take place in Milwaukee next month.
