A 16-year-old male has been taken into custody by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office after he shot 10 people during an altercation that escalated into a shooting at a venue near Sanford, Florida. Among the victims was an NFL player.
According to the sheriff’s deputies, police responded when a large crowd gathered at Cabana Live, an entertainment venue.

Police heard gunfire from behind the building just after midnight and investigated, finding that the bullets had dispersed the gathering but had inflicted non-life-threatening injuries on ten people.
Police identified Christopher Bouie Jr., 16, as the suspect and booked him into a juvenile detention facility, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to investigators, the incident began as a verbal altercation but quickly turned confrontational. According to Bouie’s arrest report, the youngster did not initially participate in the altercation but then “turned around and pulled out a black and silver handgun (9mm) and began shooting towards a crowd of people.”
Due to the gravity of the charges, local media chose to name Bouie, despite the fact that she is a minor.
According to his arrest report, Bouie is facing charges including “possession of a firearm by a minor, use and display of a firearm during a felony, firing a weapon on public property, and attempted homicide.”
According to the report, the officer who detained Bouie was able to rapidly disarm him. According to the report, several of the people shot by Bouie intend to seek charges.
Cabana Live responded on social media.
“As most of you know, there was an incident outside our establishment last night. The Cabana Live Facebook page posted a statement saying, “We are working with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and praying for everyone affected.”
