Authorities are still on the lookout for the individual who fled the area after firing shots during a high school football game in Maryland on Saturday morning. The incident resulted in the death of a man in the bleachers and a child suffering from a gunshot wound. Police are actively investigating the case and seeking any information on the suspect.
According to a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the occurrence happened outside of Potomac High School in Oxon Hill at approximately 11:20 a.m., as per Prince George’s County Police.
According to the PGCPD, the unidentified adult man was discovered by officers who found him “suffering from a gunshot wound(s).” He was immediately taken to the hospital, but unfortunately, he was later pronounced dead.
According to police, a young child of only 5 years old was also injured in the incident.
According to a statement by the PGCPD, the child was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
According to the police, an argument during a non-profit fundraiser event led to the shooting. It is important to note that the event was not sponsored by the school.
