The wife of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has been accused of spitting at a neighbor’s car following a heated dispute between the two.

According to a recent report from The New York Times, a young couple residing near Martha-Ann Alito’s residence in Fairfax County, Virginia, eventually contacted the police, alleging that they were being harassed by her.

According to recent reports from the newspaper, there have been sightings of flags associated with Donald Trump’s “Stop The Steal” campaign at two properties owned by the conservative justice and his wife.

The Alitos allegedly displayed an inverted American flag on their Virginia property during the period following Joe Biden’s inauguration in late 2020 and early 2021.

According to Mr. Alito, his wife flew the inverted American flag “for a short time” during a dispute with their neighbors. He maintains that he had no involvement in this action.

According to a report by The Times on Tuesday, a couple residing near the Alitos had contacted the police on February 15, 2021. They alleged experiencing multiple confrontations with Ms. Alito that were hostile in nature.

According to a recording of the call reviewed by the outlet, the man making the complaint expressed his concern, stating, “Somebody in a position of authority needs to talk to her and make her stop.”

A call was made to the authorities after the young, liberal couple had a series of increasingly tense encounters with the conservative judge’s wife.

Emily Baden, whose boyfriend, and now-husband, contacted the police, claims that she had no knowledge of the controversial upside-down flag, despite Justice Alito mentioning her in his explanation.

“I was completely unaware of the significance of the upside-down flag and had never even heard about it,” she shared with the newspaper. Ms. Baden openly acknowledged her impoliteness towards Ms. Alito, expressing regret for using offensive language on a sign.

In a subsequent interview with a reporter from Fox News, Justice Alito further explained the incident, stating that there had been a verbal altercation between Mrs. Alito and a male individual at their residence, where the controversial sign was displayed.

According to the reporter, the judge stated that the man used offensive language, including the use of the C-word. Following this exchange, Mrs. Alito became upset and hung the flag upside-down.

According to a report by The New York Times, the Baden family contested the narrative, asserting that it was actually Ms. Alito who initiated the conflict.

On the day of Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration, the Alitos, much like former president Trump, chose not to attend. The Badens shared a specific incident that took place on that day.

According to the Badens, they spotted Ms Alito standing outside her house as they drove by. They messaged their friends, recounting how Ms Alito ran towards their car and shouted something unintelligible.

As they drove past the Alito home once more to leave the cul-de-sac, they alleged that Ms. Alito seemed to spit in the direction of their vehicle.

The Alitos had been displaying an upside-down flag, which has been a subject of controversy. According to the newspaper, the flag was visible until January 17, 2021, which was 11 days after the violent insurrection in Washington DC and three days before Mr. Biden’s inauguration.

The political symbol of rejecting the legitimacy of Mr. Biden’s election victory repurposed the traditional military distress symbol.

According to the outlet, last week it was reported that rioters from the January 6th events were seen flying another flag outside the Alitos’ beach home in New Jersey on multiple occasions last year.

During the summer of 2023, the Alitos’ vacation home proudly displayed the “Appeal to Heaven” flag, which was famously carried by rioters during the pro-Trump attack on the US Capitol in 2021. This flag, also known as the “Pine Tree flag,” has historical significance as it dates back to the Revolutionary War.

Three photos obtained by the newspaper, along with accounts from a half-dozen neighbors and passers-by given to the outlet, verify that the Alitos’ home on Long Beach Island had the “Appeal to Heaven” flag flying in July and September of 2023.
