A single-bus crash on I-95 in Harford County early Sunday morning killed one person and injured more than 20 others, according to state police.
Shortly after 6 a.m. on May 5, troopers were dispatched to the northbound lanes of the highway in Belcamp, where a bus carrying 24 people collided with a railing and lost control, resulting in the incident.

First responders pronounced one individual dead on the site, while paramedics transported numerous other passengers to surrounding hospitals.
The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that they transported ten patients to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Hospital in Bel Air, eight to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, and five to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Aberdeen.
Police stopped all northbound lanes at mile marker 77 while they investigated the fatal crash.
The inquiry into the crash is underway. There have been no charges filed.
Troopers from the Bel Air Barracks, as well as police from the Maryland Transportation Authority Police and Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputies, went to the location.
