A 15-year-old girl fought off a sicko who attempted to rape her in a horrific incident within a Bronx park, police said.
The adolescent was walking along a walkway in Pelham Bay Park around 5 p.m. Saturday when the male stranger approached and chatted with her, according to authorities.
He then put her in a headlock and pulled her to a forested part of the park, where he attempted sexual assault, according to authorities.
According to the authorities, the brave kid managed to fend off her attacker, who fled.
Police say the victim refused medical attention for minor injuries.
The NYPD released a mugshot of her attacker late Thursday, describing him as between 20 and 30 years old, with a medium complexion, slender build, a mustache, curled eyelashes, and thick brows.
The last time we saw him, he was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
The heinous crime occurred weeks after Kashaan Parks, 39, reportedly lassoed a 45-year-old woman with a belt from behind, dragged her unconscious, and raped her between two parked automobiles on East 152nd Street and Third Avenue in the South Bronx, according to police.
Thomas Barnaby, 30, was arrested this week for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in a series of late-December assaults inside a building at East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Bronx’s Concourse area, according to police.
