Six people were hospitalized after a seven-vehicle incident on a Hudson Valley roadway, including a dump truck, according to officials.
Interstate 84 East in the town of Kent, in Putnam County, is currently closed to traffic due to a crash, according to the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. The closure spans from the Bowen Road overpass to Route 311, just west of Exit 61. This announcement was made on Tuesday, May 21, around 11:30 a.m.
Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area as traffic is currently being diverted off the highway at Ludingtonville Road.
According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, a crash involving seven cars, including a rolled-over dump truck, has resulted in minor injuries.
