On Sunday, Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) announced his plan to send a letter to President Biden, requesting that he undergo drug tests both before and after the upcoming debate with former President Trump on Thursday.
During an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Newsโ โSunday Morning Futures,โ Jackson, who previously worked as Trumpโs White House physician and medical adviser, made an unfounded accusation that Biden has been using โperformance-enhancing drugs.โ
Jackson is calling for Biden to take a drug test both before and after the upcoming debate, citing concerns of performance-enhancing drugs. According to Jackson, recent events such as Biden’s State of the Union address have shown a marked difference in his behavior and demeanor, prompting the demand for a drug test.
โHe must have been under the influence of some sort of medication,โ he emphasized, as there was no other way to comprehend his behavior.
Democrats praised Biden’s State of the Union address, noting his lively and energetic performance. Despite concerns over his age, the president remained steadfast in his commitment to his message.
According to Jackson, he had sent five letters to the White House previously, urging Biden to undergo a cognitive test that was similar to the one administered to Trump during his presidency. Trump had proudly boasted about acing the test, which is designed to identify indications of Alzheimer’s and other cognitive disorders.
Without any evidence, the congressman speculated that the president is being administered drugs while at Camp David this week. As part of his preparations for the upcoming debate, Biden will be spending the week at the presidential retreat.
According to Jackson, it seems that the focus this week at Camp David is on experimenting and fine-tuning the dosages to treat the president’s cognition. “I believe they are working on getting the doses right, as this is crucial for his treatment,” he stated.
“He needs something to improve his cognitive abilities and alertness,” he emphasized. “It’s crucial that they administer the appropriate treatment to help him think more clearly. Furthermore, he exhibits signs of agitation, which is typical for individuals with his cognitive disorder.”
During his time as Trump’s physician, Jackson faced criticism for supposedly inflating Trump’s health for political purposes. It’s worth noting that Trump supported Jackson’s congressional campaign in 2020.
In 2022, a demotion from rear admiral to captain in the Navy was retroactively imposed on the congressman. This action was taken after an Inspector General’s report revealed that he had mistreated subordinates and became drunk while serving as physician to the president.
