Police have reported that an overnight party in a Montgomery, Alabama neighborhood resulted in a barrage of bullets, leaving at least 13 people injured. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 23.
In a recent Facebook post, Mayor Steven Reed reported that a crowded party in the North Pass area of the city was fired at with a staggering 362 rounds. Fortunately, all of the individuals who were shot at the party sustained non-life-threatening injuries. In addition to this, three other people were injured due to a “vehicle vs. pedestrian collision,” and one woman suffered minor injuries from broken glass, as confirmed by a city spokesperson.
In a statement released on Sunday morning, Reed reported that a crowded party in the North Pass area was targeted with over 362 rounds of gunfire. As a result, nine individuals were left wounded while at least four more were injured during the ensuing chaos.
The Montgomery Police Department, ATF, and FBI officers are currently conducting interviews with witnesses and suspects.
Reed emphasized that their team is working tirelessly to identify the individuals responsible for such senseless and violent activity. He urged everyone with any information to step forward and help them put a stop to it.
According to the Montgomery Advertiser, a social media video captured a chaotic scene where individuals fired multiple weapons in an outdoor area of the gathering for approximately two minutes. As a result, crowds of people had to run for cover to avoid danger.
