Police have apprehended a suspect in a North Bergen shooting and robbery in Paramus.
According to insiders with direct knowledge, Steven Castro, aged 22, was located in the parking lot of Paramus’ Route 17 Home Depot on Monday, June 24, while driving a U-Haul van.

According to the police, Castro attempted to escape and collided with a North Bergen officer in the parking area.
The suspect is facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, robbery, aggravated assault, and eluding. The authorities were able to recover a firearm during the investigation.
Castro is believed to have shot a man and his girlfriend at close range before going missing earlier this month.
