Travis Kelce is absolutely smitten with his girlfriend and can’t help but reminisce about some of the heartwarming moments that made him fall for her.
Travis, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been a great support to his girlfriend, the pop star Taylor Swift. Although the couple has been together for a year now, they only made it Instagram official on Sunday, June 23, with a photo of them posing alongside Prince William, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte. While usually Travis is seen cheering for Taylor from the VIP tent or backstage, he recently surprised the London audience during night three of the Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium with an on-stage skit during The Tortured Poets Department set, impressing everyone.
During an episode of the Barstool Sports podcast “Bussin’ with the Boys”, the football star candidly discussed his relationship with the pop star.
During the episode on Monday, June 24th, Travis discussed the moment when he realized he had fallen for Taylor.
In expressing his admiration for her, he shared, “What really drew me to her was her authenticity around her loved ones. Despite the overwhelming attention she receives, she remains grounded and composed. I truly appreciate that about her.”
Travis was completely smitten by the singer when she entered through the front door with the desire to spend time with her loved ones and enjoy the whole experience with everyone during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game last September. Her decision to not hide away in the NFL suites under security really touched Travis’ heart, and he was planning to have everything set up for her. However, she surprised him with her genuine gesture. He said, “She really won my heart that day.”
Travis made it clear that he has no qualms about proclaiming his affection for his partner.
In his words, “I value privacy, but I don’t want to hide anything. She’s my girl, my lady, and I’m proud of her.”
Both Taylor and Travis have been incredibly supportive of each other. In fact, Taylor attended 13 of Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs games during the past season, including the team’s Super Bowl victory, which she even flew to from Japan. On the other hand, Travis attended his first Eras Tour in July 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and has since visited six cities in total, constantly flying back and forth to support his beloved partner.
