According to police, newly released footage depicts the individuals responsible for assaulting a woman with a baseball bat on a street in New York City last week.
In the video, they can be seen walking down a sidewalk with one of them talking on the phone. It is uncertain whether the video was captured prior to or following the assault.

According to authorities, the assault on the woman took place on Monroe Street in Lower Manhattan at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the investigation, the perpetrators attempted to steal her bag but left without any valuables.
According to CBS New York, the family of the victim stated that the perpetrator was scared off by the shouts of passersby and the courageous intervention of community members. This prompt action also led to a timely call for help, which helped in averting potentially more severe consequences.
Family says victim is afraid to return to work
According to the victim’s family members, she had recently left the day care where she is employed, located just up the street, before she was attacked. The traumatic incident has left her feeling scared to return to work.
According to her family, the 58-year-old mother sustained bruises on her head and leg. Although she is currently recovering at home, she requires assistance with her day-to-day tasks.
In a statement, the family expressed their profound sorrow over the senseless act of violence and emphasized the importance of sharing her story to raise awareness and seek justice.
