During his first criminal trial, Donald Trump once again found it difficult to stay awake during the testimony.
During the cross-examination of former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker on Friday morning, lawyers representing “Drowsy Don” observed and recorded Donald Trump’s nap time at the Manhattan courthouse.
During the trial, it was observed that the former President, Donald Trump, appeared to be dozing off at times. Harry Litman, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General, pointed out that Trump seemed heavy-lidded and would occasionally doze off. This pattern of drowsiness has been well-documented by New York prosecutors as they present their case in the hush money trial.
According to Litman, Trump dozed off for a genuine nap, snoozing for a few minutes. It could be attributed to his lawyers’ rather uninteresting arguments, which apparently failed to captivate the jury and left the 77-year-old feeling exhausted.
If President Trump wins a second term, he would become the second-oldest President in history, with his opponent being the oldest. Throughout his campaign, Trump has criticized President Biden, who is 81 years old, for his age. In a February post on Truth Social, he even used the nickname “Sleepy Joe” to refer to him.
Speculations about whether Biden would be willing to participate in a debate due to his age were put to rest on Friday. During an interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” Biden made it clear that he is ready to engage in a debate with Trump. “I am more than willing to debate him,” Biden confidently stated to Stern.
