During an interview with CBS’s Margaret Brennan on “Face the Nation,” she emphasized that bringing home all hostages, particularly Americans, is a top priority for the administration. Siegel acknowledged the administration’s relentless efforts, stating that they are doing everything within their power to achieve this goal.
Hanna Siegel, the niece of Keith Siegel, an American Israeli hostage, has endured the distressing reality of her uncle’s prolonged captivity for over six months. While Keith’s wife, Aviva Siegel, was also seized by Hamas, she was fortunate enough to be released during a temporary cease-fire agreement last year.
Hamas recently released a video showcasing Israeli hostages, as reported by multiple news outlets. CBS has confirmed that one of the individuals in the video is Keith Siegel.
Hanna Siegel, wearing a sticker with the number “205” representing the days since Keith’s disappearance, expressed her surreal experience of seeing him in the video.
“We have always held onto the belief that he is still alive. It is crucial for us to maintain this belief,” she emphasized.
“It’s surreal,” she added, expressing her astonishment at the fact that this is the first time they are seeing and hearing him.
