Local police in Murnau am Staffelsee, Germany, reported the fatal stabbing of two Ukrainian men on Saturday.
According to authorities, a 36-year-old male died from “serious injuries” on the scene, while a 23-year-old guy died at a local hospital that evening. According to German law, police did not reveal the victims’ identities, but they both resided in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district.
German police discovered and arrested a Russian national involved in the case at his nearby home address that same evening.
The police stated that a murder investigation is currently underway.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry confirmed the incident and stated that the two men were Ukrainian military servicemen seeking medical treatment, “according to preliminary data.”
