Former President Trump added 23 more delegates to the GOP convention after winning the Puerto Rico primary on Sunday, as reported by Decision Desk HQ.
Donald Trump, who was already the presumptive nominee, secured an effortless victory in the primary as he ran unopposed. His official nomination will take place at the party’s convention in Milwaukee in July.
With no other candidates left in the race, Trump has secured a total of 1,915 delegates in the GOP primary.
The Democratic primary in Puerto Rico is scheduled to take place on April 28th.
The race for the general election against President Biden is still incredibly close, with Trump currently holding a narrow lead of only 0.9 percentage points in the average of polls conducted by Decision Desk HQ.
