According to a local governor, a Ukrainian missile struck a 10-story residential building in Belgorod, Russia overnight.
According to an update from the Emergency Situations Ministry on Sunday, the death toll has risen to 15 individuals.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on Belgorod city and district,” Vyacheslav Gladkov, governor of the Belgorod region, wrote on Telegram.

According to the ministry, it was unclear whether the missile impacted the structure as a target or if dropped missile fragments caused the damage.
According to Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry, search and rescue teams first found 11 people’s bodies in the rubble of the apartment building.
Ukrainian military officials declined to comment on the unverified reports.
Photographs revealed the complete destruction of a central section of the apartment building in Kharkovskaya Gora, leaving the remaining structures standing on either side of a gap.
