Taylor Swift performed “The Alchemy” as part of an acoustic set of surprise songs at Sunday’s Eras Tour event, which included boyfriend Travis Kelce. Several football references in the song have led fans to believe Swift penned it for the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end.
“Can you believe this is the 87th show?” Swift asked for it during her acoustic concert at La Dรฉfense Arena. Kelce wears number 87. She then performed a guitar mashup of “The Alchemy” from her new album “The Tortured Poets Department” and “Treacherous” from “Red.”
Kelce stood in his box while Swift looked up at him, and the crowd exchanged glances between the two.
“This happens once every few lifetimes,” Swift sang. “These chemicals hit me like white wine.”
The crowd let out a yell.
Kelce attended the fourth and final night of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Paris, which drew over 40,000 fans. He sat in a box seat with Bradley Cooper, supermodel Gigi Hadid, and rock singer Lenny Kravitz.
The concert is Kelce’s fifth appearance on the tour since the pair went public last year. His first stop was Buenos Aires, Argentina, followed by Sydney, Australia, and a two-night stay in Singapore. Swift has modified the words “Karma” to “guy on the Chiefs” every time Kelce has cheered her on from the sidelines.
Kelce had not seen the new set list live since Swift switched eras and introduced her 11th era, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The singer-songwriter stated that she has been working on the adjustments for 8โ9 months (since last fall).
Hadid has famously been a member of Swift’s squad for years and has been dating Cooper for several months.
Other celebs in attendance included Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw and singer Christina Milian.
Her next stop is Stockholm, Sweden, as she continues on the European portion of the tour.
