A Democratic super PAC has kicked off its $140 million campaign by releasing its initial round of ads aimed at key battleground states. These ads feature testimonials from voters who express concerns about the potential risks associated with former President Trump making a comeback to the White House.
American Bridge 21st Century plans to broadcast three advertisements in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The organization will also utilize direct mail to emphasize the experiences of individuals residing in suburban and exurban areas within these crucial swing states.
The initial advertisements will showcase three distinct individuals and will amount to a total of $25 million.
In one instance, we have a Wisconsin woman who is an OB-GYN and has a personal abortion story. She will discuss her concerns regarding what a second term for Trump could imply for reproductive rights. In another case, a Pennsylvania man will voice his worries about Trump potentially eradicating reproductive rights for his children and grandchildren. Lastly, we have a pair of retired nurses from Pennsylvania who will express their concerns about Trump’s potential reduction in health care access.
According to a statement from Bradley Beychok, co-founder of American Bridge, the group is fully committed to defeating Donald Trump. They have been preparing and strategizing for this election cycle since the 2020 election.
“We have successfully organized and recruited hundreds of individuals residing in these crucial battleground states. They have willingly shared their personal stories, emphasizing the devastating impact of another Trump administration. Our platform serves as a source for voters in these key states to hear these powerful narratives, and we firmly believe that these stories will play a pivotal role in shaping the outcome on Election Day.”
The group aims to reach out to voters who are often overlooked by traditional campaigns through its advertisements in nonmajor media markets. American Bridge is specifically targeting moderates, individuals who remain unenthusiastic about both President Trump and President Biden, as well as anti-Trump conservatives.
