A 12-foot alligator was removed from MacDill Air Force Base in Florida after being discovered in restricted areas on two separate occasions.
In April, a massive 12-foot, 4-inch alligator was initially sighted at the Tampa base. It made its way onto the runway and settled near the landing gear of a plane.
The reptile made a comeback last week outside the Med Group facility, after being ousted once before.
Base officials organized for the alligator to be relocated permanently to Gatorama and Crocodile Adventures in Palmdale, a facility situated approximately 155 miles away.
The new resident at Gatorama has been named Major McDill as a tribute to the base.
