Former President Trump has scheduled campaign events in Wisconsin and Michigan next week. This will be his first opportunity to visit a battleground state during his hush money trial in New York City.
Next Wednesday, Trump will be visiting Waukesha to deliver a speech that will highlight the peace, prosperity, and security achieved during his first term in contrast to Joe Biden’s unsuccessful presidency.
The focus of Trump’s speech will likely be on the ongoing problem of rising prices under the Biden administration, along with the significant influx of migrants at the southern border, which has had far-reaching consequences in states that are not directly on the border.
“The Badger State is currently facing the negative consequences of Biden’s policies, and President Trump aims to restore safety and affordability to Wisconsin,” stated Trump’s campaign in a press release, while announcing the event.
After the event in Wisconsin, Trump will make his way to Freeland, Michigan, where he is scheduled to give a speech at a rally later in the day, according to his campaign.
Trump has been expressing his frustration about being unable to hit the campaign trail in his bid for a second term in the White House, where he hopes to face President Biden again in November.
Trump has a court appearance four days a week due to facing charges related to falsifying business records. These charges are in connection with an alleged hush money scheme aimed at concealing an affair during the 2016 campaign. Normally, Wednesdays are designated as off days from the trial. However, next week is set to be the first time Trump will utilize this day to engage in his campaign activities.
The rally of the former president, which was originally planned for last Saturday in North Carolina, had to be canceled due to severe weather conditions.
In recent weeks, Biden has been actively traveling across various states including Pennsylvania, Florida, and New York. During his visits, he has been promoting his agenda and criticizing Trump’s stance on abortion and the economy.
