Court documents reveal that Timberlake was pulled over by an officer in Sag Harbor at 12:37 a.m. for driving through a stop sign at Madison Street and Jermain Avenue. The officer observed Timberlake driving a gray BMW through the stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road.
The moment was captured by Hamptons.com’s surveillance camera, revealing Timberlake’s drive through Sag Harbor just before his encounter with the authorities.
According to the officer, the individual was inebriated, exhibiting bloodshot and glassy eyes, and emitting a strong scent of alcohol from their breath. Additionally, the person performed poorly on all conventional field sobriety tests.
According to the officer, Timberlake claimed, “I only had one martini and I simply followed my friends home.”
According to the documents, he declined to take a breath test on three separate occasions.
According to court officials, he appeared in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court for arraignment on Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. and was subsequently released on his own recognizance. His next court appearance is scheduled to be held virtually on July 26.
According to CBS New York’s Jenna DeAngelis, Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., stated that he will strongly defend his client and is presently involved in the discovery process with the district attorney’s office.
