Bestselling author Stephen King recently shared additional scathing critiques of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, following his previous social media post where he referred to the Georgia Republican as “Moscow Marjorie.”
Rep. Greene has criticized members of her own party following the approval of a Ukraine aid bill by the House on Saturday. Ever since Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion in February 2022, Ukraine has been engaged in a relentless battle, with the United States serving as a crucial ally to Kyiv. The bill passed on Saturday is set to allocate more than $60 billion in foreign aid, which will play a vital role in replenishing Ukraine’s arsenal.
After months of urging from U.S. lawmakers, GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson successfully passed legislation to provide funding for Ukraine. The bill, which received bipartisan support with a vote of 311-112, also includes military aid for Israel, replenishment of U.S. weapons systems, and humanitarian assistance for civilians in Gaza.
After departing from the Capitol on Saturday, Greene expressed her frustration to reporters, stating, “Today, America has been betrayed. It is disheartening to witness members of Congress waving the Ukrainian flag on the floor of the United States House of Representatives while our border remains unsecured. Every American citizen should feel outraged by this.”
On Wednesday, “The New York Times” released an op-ed titled “The Humbling of Marjorie Taylor Greene.” In this article, author Michelle Cottle addressed Greene’s demand for Johnson’s resignation concerning the foreign aid package.
Cottle pondered the dynamics of Trump-era politics, questioning the boundaries of what is considered too extreme or disruptive for an elected official. She wondered when an official’s behavior becomes so embarrassing that even their own team feels compelled to distance themselves from them.
In a post shared on X, formerly Twitter, King referenced the controversial article, stating, “[Michelle] Cottle on MTG: ‘A poo-flinging chaos [monkey].’ ”
In a recent incident, horror author King revealed another comment that had been made about Greene.
During a recent appearance on CNN, former Republican Rep. Ken Buck, who has previously referred to Greene as “Moscow Marjorie,” was shown a clip of a Russian television personality claiming that Marjorie Taylor Greene is the one running Congress and that everyone is afraid of her.
Buck fired back, criticizing “Moscow Marjorie” for stooping to a new low. He argued that her regurgitation of Russian propaganda was not only damaging American foreign policy, but also displaying a complete lack of responsibility. Buck firmly believed that when history reflects on this era, it will recognize that Russia invaded Ukraine and that Ukraine is valiantly fighting for its freedom. In light of this, he emphasized the importance of standing with the Ukrainian freedom fighters in this war.
King has a history of publicly calling out Greene online. He previously criticized the politician on X after she made an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show “Tucker on X” in December to discuss the current state of U.S. politics.
King criticized Greene’s position, expressing his disapproval by retweeting her post and commenting, “Putin truly appreciates individuals who are easily deceived.”
“On X, she wrote that Israel is currently dominating in their war with Hamas, despite being brutally attacked and causing the deaths of thousands of innocent people. What’s remarkable is that not a single American dollar has been spent on this war so far. It’s something worth pondering.”
