A Florida hospital emergency room received a fatal stabbing charge against three individuals.
Emory Crews Jr., 41, is the victim of a first-degree premeditated murder charge against Alvin Weeks Jr., 39. Joshua Ward, 34, and Dianne Chamberlin, 68, face charges of tampering with evidence, according to a news release from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office.
According to ABC/The CW Plus station WCJB, the alleged killer’s ex-wife expressed relief that the guy, who she claimed had a history of domestic violence, had been caught.
She expressed her amazement to the broadcaster. “Now the truth is out. People can now recognize the identity of the monster I married.
The killing occurred on Tuesday. At 4:51 p.m., the Bradford County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from the HCA Florida Starke Emergency Room, according to a news release.
According to medical staff, Crews was brought to the hospital with a penetrating wound to his torso by an unknown white male and a white female. Efforts to save the sufferer failed, and he died from his injuries shortly after.
The male and female who drove the victim to the ER fled in a brown vehicle before police arrived.
After saying they’d look at video security cameras in the neighborhood to verify their identities and asking the public for tips about the homicide, investigators said they soon found the suspects.
Investigators found Weeks in a barn on his family’s property in northeast Bradford County about 11:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, authorities apprehended the other two suspects following a spectacular overnight raid at a home in Lawtey, Florida, near Jacksonville. A SWAT squad and police dogs surrounded the home and apprehended Ward and Chamberlin, according to officials.
After interviewing both suspects, deputies quickly discovered that they were involved in the destruction and disposal of crime-related evidence, according to officials.
The defendants allegedly attempted to clean up the vehicle; they are suspected of driving Crews to the hospital, according to WCJB.
The Bradford County Jail booked the accused without bond.
