The man arrested for allegedly randomly hitting a TikTok while walking down a New York City street has been charged with assaulting, stalking, and harassing strangers in a series of alleged anti-female, anti-white, and antisemitic incidents, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr.
Skiboky Stora, 40, of Brooklyn, was charged with three charges of third-degree assault as a hate crime, one act of stalking as a hate crime, and second-degree aggravated harassment for occurrences occurring between September 2023 and March 2024.
“Skiboky Stora allegedly committed a series of hate-motivated incidents against several individuals based on their perceived gender, race, and religion,” stated District Attorney Bragg. “Respect and acceptance of all people are vital to our city’s identity. Nobody should have to worry about their safety because of their identification. I appreciate our prosecutors’ relentless commitment to seeking justice for these victims.”
The accusations came after seven TikTok users reported being struck in New York in two weeks, according to police, who said there was no indication the episodes were related. Stora’s list of charges includes a victim among the TikTok users.
On September 20, 2023, a 17-year-old Caucasian student passed Stora in the Chelsea neighborhood, according to officials. As he died, Stora allegedly elbowed him in the neck, causing pain, and screamed, in essence, “You people think you can do whatever the f— you want,” according to Bragg.
Bragg reports that on October 26, 2023, a 37-year-old fair-skinned woman went past Stora in the Chelsea district. According to officials, when the woman passed Stora, Stora elbowed her in the left shoulder, causing pain and bruises.
On November 18, 2023, a 28-year-old woman and her 28-year-old husband, a white Jewish couple, were walking their dogs in Union Square when they noticed Stora pulling down posters depicting kidnapped Israeli prisoners. The woman claimed to have photographed him, and Stora allegedly began to pursue them, shouting anti-white and antisemitic insults such as “F— you, white boy.” A passerby guided the couple inside their apartment building to escape Stora, but he allegedly followed them into the lobby, hurling antisemitic obscenities, according to Bragg.
On March 25, 2024, a 23-year-old white lady passed Stora on the street, and he allegedly punched her in the head, knocking her to the ground, according to officials. Officials report that she experienced pain and swelling on the left side of her head.
After conducting an investigation, the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office arrested Stora.
