Anthony Scaramucci, former Trump White House communications director, stated on Thursday that “nobody” wants President Biden to win reelection more than himself.
“Nobody wants Biden to win more than me, and I’m including [former first lady Melania Trump],” Scaramucci wrote on the social media platform X.
Scaramucci, who briefly served as White House communications director under former President Trump, has become a vocal adversary of his former boss. He stated in March that Trump is the “most un-American presidential nominee in U.S. history.”
“We have to focus on Mr. Trump being the most un-American presidential nominee in U.S. history,” Scaramucci told CNN’s “The Source” presenter, Kaitlan Collins. “And we have to go through the things that he’s saying he’s going to do, as it relates to being the American president.”
“I believe if we do that, he will lose the election,” Scaramucci concluded.
In the same interview, he stated that the former president is “courting dictators.”
“He wants to be part of the axis of autocracy with people like [Russian President] Vladimir Putin,” added Scaramucci. “Remember, Vladimir Putin has a strong connection to Iran, and consider the implications for the Middle East, given the transactional nature of Donald Trump.”
“He has made it very clear that everyone with whom he disagrees or has an adversarial relationship in the press intends to potentially endanger their [Federal Communications Commission] license. Scaramucci continued, “He has publicly stated that he intends to persecute using the Department of Justice, his political adversaries, and the list goes on.”
