Authorities have reported that a man who was charged with attempted murder has managed to escape from custody in Southern California.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Deshaun Stamps managed to escape from the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga while he was outside for a recreation period on Sunday. The authorities have not yet determined the exact method of his escape.
According to the sheriff’s office, Stamps, who is 29 years old, has been held in custody for attempted murder since January 30, 2023.
Authorities are currently conducting a search for stamps.
The sheriff’s office has described Stamps as a 5 feet, 11 inches tall man with a bald head, green eyes, and tattoos on his neck and head. He weighs approximately 170 pounds.

There is currently no set date for the trial regarding the charge of attempted murder. Stamps had a court appearance scheduled for August.
