Ann Wilson, the lead singer of “Heart,” has revealed that the band’s tour will be postponed due to her recent cancer diagnosis.
On social media platform X, Wilson revealed that she underwent a removal surgery that turned out to be cancerous.
Wilson announced that although the operation was successful and he is feeling great, his doctors have recommended a course of preventive chemotherapy, which he has decided to undergo. As a result, he will be taking the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover, as per his doctor’s instructions.
Wilson advised fans who purchased tickets for the “Royal Flush” tour to keep hold of them while the band’s management finalizes the tour’s specifics.
In 2013, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted Heart. Unfortunately, their Cleveland performance scheduled for July 30th had to be cancelled.
Wilson stated that she fully intends to return to performing on stage by the year 2025.
