According to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s (DDHQ) most recent polling average, President Biden now leads former President Trump in surveys for the first time since October.
Biden leads Trump by 0.1 percentage points. According to DDHQ’s average of 685 surveys, the president has 45 percent support against Trump’s 44.9 percent in a likely 2024 match-up.
Sunday marked six months until Election Day in November. According to a new survey from I&I/TIPP Insights, Biden is two points up, one point ahead of Reuters/Ipsos, and one point ahead of ABC News/Ipsos.
When independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is included in surveys, Trump leads by 1.1 percentage points, according to the Hill/DDHQ average. The average of 144 polls shows Trump with 41.2% support, Biden with 40.1%, and Kennedy with 8.5%.
Biden has failed to gain ground against Trump, particularly in battleground areas where recent surveys show Trump ahead.
The former president leads Biden by 3.3 percentage points in Michigan, 3.1 percentage points in Wisconsin, and 0.7 percentage points in Pennsylvania.
