On Wednesday, it was revealed that Commander Biden, the beloved German Shepherd belonging to President Joe Biden, was involved in a biting incident with a U.S. Secret Service agent. The incident had not been previously disclosed.

Judicial Watch, a conservative activist group known for targeting Democratic politicians with Freedom of Information Act requests, has obtained 116 pages of records from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. These documents provide details regarding dog-biting incidents involving Commander.

As reported by UPI, in October, the White House had to remove the German Shepherd due to a series of at least 10 biting incidents.

On September 12, 2023, an incident occurred which was not disclosed at the time, increasing the number of biting cases to a minimum of 11. According to Judicial Watch, there were at least 23 biting incidents reported.

According to the records, while walking his dog in the Kennedy Garden, Biden’s encounter with a Secret Service agent resulted in the latter being bitten on his legs and through the front of his jacket. The agent later claimed $943 worth of compensation to purchase a new suit jacket.

Secret Service agents were frustrated to discover that TMZ knew about Commander biting incidents before they did.

In an email to colleagues, a Secret Service worker expressed concern about a reported dog bite at the White House, as TMZ had recently reported. The worker urged for measures to be taken to ensure the dog was muzzled to prevent any further incidents.

After its FOIA requests were ignored, Judicial Watch had to file a lawsuit in federal court to obtain the records.
