Police reported that a woman, who had experienced “trauma about the body,” was discovered deceased in a Brooklyn residence during the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to authorities, law enforcement received a 911 call reporting an unconscious and unresponsive woman at 175 Minna St. in Kensington around 5 a.m.
According to the police, the individual who remains unidentified was pronounced dead at the location at the age of 27.
According to sources close to the incident, the woman had been staying in the ground-floor apartment with two other men for a few days. Reports from neighbors confirm this information.
According to a female neighbor who is 31 years old, detectives informed her that the victim hailed from the Bronx. She had intended to stay at a homeless shelter, but the two men offered her the opportunity to stay with them instead. This way, she could avoid living with drug addicts.
According to a neighbor who spoke with The Post and cited police reports, one of the two men was the person who made the 911 call, but both men were present at their home during the incident.
According to a resident bartender and father of two who lived on the same floor as the two men, he had never seen the girl before but had seen one of the guys. However, he was not at home when the police were summoned to the scene.
According to him and an older gentleman residing upstairs, they were familiar with both individuals, but one of them stood out as being particularly “cool with everyone.”
According to a female neighbor who lives across the street, she feels uncomfortable around the duo, describing them as a “tall Hispanic guy and a chunky dark-skinned one.” She claimed that the latter had harassed her before.
“He was being shady. He used to flirt with me and even followed me on his motorcycle once, saying, ‘I think you’re pretty. I want a girlfriend’,” she shared.
Last year, the Kensington home welcomed two men who spent the majority of their time repairing motorcycles and cars. According to the neighbor, there was a possibility that these vehicles were stolen.
According to her, the individuals were always suspicious and unnerving. She had a strong intuition, particularly about one of them, that they were up to no good and might even abduct someone.
The city Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of the woman’s death.
Police stated that they have no further information at this time and that the investigation is still ongoing.
