The Department of Justice (DOJ) is reaching out to the public to gather feedback for its 2024 Environmental Justice (EJ) Strategic Plan. The plan is designed to advance environmental justice in accordance with Executive Order 14096, which seeks to renew the nation’s dedication to environmental justice for every citizen. The plan outlines the DOJ’s vision, goals, and priority actions, and the agency is seeking input from the public to ensure that it is comprehensive and effective.
The Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) website has posted the DOJ’s draft goals and objectives for its EJ strategic plan. The public is invited to review these drafts and share their feedback.
Here are three methods to get involved:
-
- Complete the electronic survey available on the DOJ’s website.
- Email feedback directly to the Office of Environmental Justice at [email protected].
- Attend an in-person community listening session if one is scheduled in your area.
The DOJ welcomes public feedback and regards it as valuable input towards the finalization of the strategic plan. Please note that the deadline for submitting comments is on Monday, July 22, 2024.
