A couple who made a living selling merchandise supporting Donald Trump out of a bus adorned with pro-Trump flags and posters have found themselves without a home after their vehicle collided with multiple street signs and utility poles in New York City.
The crash occurred at approximately noon on Sunday on Staten Island, as reported by the Fire Department.
Donna Eiden, who lived in the bus with her husband, Rocky Granata, and their cat, Missy, shared with the Staten Island Advance that she was asleep inside the stationary vehicle when it unexpectedly started moving along Hylan Boulevard. The bus collided with signs and poles as it made its way forward.
The aftermath of the crash is captured in photos, revealing a bus torn to shreds and scattered Trump signs.
“This is our life, we live in it, we travel in it. I carry my daughter’s ashes with me,” Eiden shared with the Advance. “It’s not just a business for us, it’s our entire existence.”
Firefighters reported that Eiden had to be rescued from the damaged vehicle, but fortunately, she did not need any medical attention.
The bus had frequently appeared at Trump rallies across the country prior to its crash.
