Amidst the ongoing scandals surrounding the U.S. Supreme Court, it is often overlooked that Chief Justice John Roberts had an alternative course of action available to him. He could have implemented stricter ethics rules and greater accountability for judges, considering their influential positions and lifetime tenure.

Graves criticized Roberts for his attempts to manipulate the process and obstruct the Senate’s efforts to hold the court accountable. Graves also accused Roberts of disregarding ethical rules that are followed by every other court in the country.
