Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’s home was reportedly broken into early Sunday morning, leading to the arrest of a suspect, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to police, Ephraim Matthew Hunter, 29, broke into the Getty House by smashing a window at around 6:40 a.m. on Sunday morning. Bass was present in the house during the incident, as confirmed by the authorities.
According to the LAPD, a suspect was apprehended by the Los Angeles Police Department without any trouble. Thankfully, no one was harmed during the incident. The LAPD has stated that the investigation is still in progress.
An intruder broke into Getty House through a window around 6:40 AM this morning. Fortunately, Mayor Bass and her family were unharmed and are now safe. The mayor’s office released a statement expressing gratitude to the LAPD for their quick response and successful arrest of the suspect.
According to the police, Hunter has been charged with felony burglary.
