Did you notice Donald Trump and Drill rappers on your 2024 bingo cards? Former US President Donald Trump not only drew a large crowd to an event in the South Bronx on Thursday evening, but he also received two fresh endorsements from NYC Drill rappers Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow.
On May 23, Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s anticipated nominee for 2024, attended a massive event in Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s largely Democratic district in New York.
The demonstration comes just days after AOC insulted the former President in TV interviews, claiming that he was only hosting a rally in the Bronx because of his current hush-money trial, which resulted in the “legal version of an ankle bracelet” on him.
On Thursday morning, AOC continued to criticize Trump when it appeared like the weather in New York City would prevent him from holding his rally later that evening. However, the weather cooperated, and Donald Trump drew a large crowd to his South Bronx rally, which included two NYC Drill rappers, Sheff G and Sleepy Hollow, both of whom Trump invited on stage.
Sheff G addressed the massive crowd, saying, “President Trump, my man.” One thing I’d like to say. They will always whisper about your triumphs and shout about your shortcomings. “Trump will hail the victories for all of us!” Sleepy Hollow, a fellow Drill rapper, joined Sheff G and Donald Trump on stage and simply told the crowd, “Make America Great Again,” eliciting a scream of agreement from the entire audience.
During the rally, Trump also promised the audience, “The minute crooked Joe Biden walks out the door, I will rapidly rebuild the greatest economy in the history of the world.” Look, we had the best economy in history. Everyone here, whether you had a tiny business or a job, was earning more than they had ever made, and there was no inflation. We got 1.4%, which was regarded as better than none because none, in and of itself, is a terrible thing. We had a perfect number: 1.4%.”
He went on to say, “It makes no difference whether you’re black, brown, white, or whatever the hell color you are. We are all Americans, and we will work together as Americans.” The audience immediately yelled in accord and began shouting, “U.S.A.”
