Three teens beat and robbed a 12-year-old girl while she was walking to a store in Manhattan earlier this month, authorities said Tuesday.
Three teenage girls attacked the girl around 6:30 p.m. in Washington Heights while she was walking with a companion near Audobon Avenue and West 189th Street. Before punching and kicking the child, one of the suspects asked her if she knew anyone, according to the authorities.

According to police, the trio allegedly stole the girl’s smartphone before fleeing. Police transported the girl to the hospital after she suffered minor injuries.
According to the police, the victim and the teenagers had no prior acquaintances.
There have been no arrests; however, police have issued a photo of the three teenagers sought in the incident, who are believed to be aged 14 to 18.
