According to police sources, two suspects wanted for allegedly brutally beating and mugging a tourist outside a Times Square hotel are believed to be migrants living in shelters.
The two are wanted for assaulting a 44-year-old Indiana man outside the four-star Club Quarters Hotel on West 45th Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. on May 10, according to police pleas and sources.
During the brutal attack, they allegedly punched and kicked the tourist.
The perpetrators fled on foot after stealing the victim’s phone and money, police added.
According to a source, the two were residing at neighboring migrant hotel shelters.
Police say the victim declined medical assistance following the beating.
Police released surveillance photographs of the two suspects on Sunday in the hopes of locating them.
The photographs suggest that at least one of the suspects was wearing a ski mask during the incident.
