The Beall-Washington House was abuzz with excitement on Saturday as the annual White House Correspondents’ Garden Brunch brought together a multitude of guests. It was a delightful prelude to the highly anticipated main event that would take place later in the evening.
Celebrities, journalists, politicians, and even a local social media influencer flocked to the Georgetown mansion that is typically vacant for most of the year. Despite the gloomy weather on Saturday, the ambiance inside the mansion was inviting and vibrant.
The party attendees indulged in a wide array of delectable treats, ranging from a generous buffet spread to a breakfast bar featuring Yorkshire puddings. They also had the option to enjoy refreshing juices, handcrafted cocktails, and flavorful lattes. Not to be forgotten, there was a modest yet enticing display of desserts on a shelf tucked away in the corner.
This year’s event was co-hosted by an esteemed group of individuals including Tammy Haddad, Ruth Porat, Kevin Sheekey, Mark and Sally Ein, Symone Sanders-Townsend, Jon Banner, Craig Minassian, and Franco Nuschese.
This year’s brunch was the 31st annual event, and many attendees saw it as the perfect prelude to the upcoming White House Correspondents Dinner.
As the rain continued to pour throughout the day, event organizers distributed umbrellas and hats to attendees. Many women gratefully accepted these party favors, using them to protect their hair from getting wet.
Several notable individuals were present at the event, including Senator Chris Coons (D-Delaware), Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota), Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C. (D), Anthony Fauci, Savannah Guthrie, Deborah Roberts, Al Roker, Dana Bash, Chris Wallace, Chuck Todd, Wolf Blitzer, and Kellyanne Conway.
The star-studded event saw a variety of show business figures gracing the occasion. Notable attendees included Fran Drescher, Kyle MacLachlan, Linda Carter, Lauren Ash, Diedrich Bader, Jason Kravitz, Kevin McHale, Rufus Sewell, and Gus Kenworthy. Additionally, local D.C. influencer Anthony Polcari was spotted entering the party.
In an interview with The Hill, Ash, known for her comedic roles on popular shows like “Superstore” and “Not Dead Yet,” expressed her delight in attending the White House Correspondents parties for the first time.
“It’s absolutely amazing! I had no clue that this event would span over an entire week. It feels like being in the midst of award season in LA,” expressed Ash, brimming with excitement. “The whole atmosphere is simply beautiful, and we’re having an incredible time filled with loads of fun.”
