On Saturday evening, officials reported that a building in Seattle was hit by a public bus, which resulted in injuries for 11 individuals. One person was critically injured.
According to a statement from the Seattle Fire Department, a building at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Terrace Street in downtown Seattle was hit by a Sound Transit bus just before 7 p.m.
Emergency responders rushed to the location to perform an “extrication response,” and fortunately, they were able to assist all of the passengers out of the vehicle. According to the department, each of the passengers was able to exit the vehicle independently.
According to officials, eleven adult passengers were taken to nearby hospitals. The department reported that all but one of them were in a stable condition.
According to the department, a 54-year-old man was given critical care by the crews. The patient in critical condition was then transported to Harborview Medical Center with the help of paramedics.
