According to CENTCOM, Usamah Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi was killed in an airstrike.
According to a statement posted on the social platform X, the death of the individual in question will hamper ISIS’s capability to fund and carry out terrorist attacks. CENTCOM, in collaboration with regional allies and partners, will persist in their efforts to execute operations aimed at reducing ISIS’s operational capabilities and ensuring its ultimate defeat.
According to CENTCOM, the strike did not harm any civilians.
The United States has continued to attack ISIS commanders, the hardline Islamist terrorist group that resurfaced and targeted Iran and Russia this year, killing hundreds.
In May’s closing days, the US African Command disclosed that it had launched an airstrike in Somalia aimed at ISIS militants, resulting in the death of a minimum of three fighters.
