According to the Kansas City police, a shooting incident on the east side of Kansas City has resulted in two fatalities and two injuries. The tragic incident took place overnight, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
According to DiMartino, it seems that someone from the Bellefontaine residence rushed to Agnes seeking assistance. They knocked on a door, and the person who answered the door dialed 911 for help.
KCPD reported that two additional individuals were shot – a female and another minor boy. They were immediately transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment, and are anticipated to make a full recovery.
According to FOX4, an eyewitness provided a description of the incident.
Felicia McDaniel recalls a vivid memory of a bustling atmosphere filled with bright lights and a large crowd. She states, “I just remember hearing and seeing a lot of lights, a lot of people, a lot of action.”
McDaniel expressed her sadness and heartbreak over the loss of a life, particularly when children are impacted. She believes that no one deserves to go through such a tragedy and therefore, she prays for the families and everyone involved.
Alvin Kidd, a concerned neighbor, emphasized the importance of looking out for each other in the community. He believes that without this sense of responsibility, the community will crumble. He stated that it’s a simple concept – we can’t stand on our own without supporting one another. Kidd expressed his sadness and fear regarding the current situation.
