Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has won the 2023–24 Magic Johnson Award, the Professional Basketball Writers Association announced on Wednesday.

More than 200 PBWA journalists and editors vote on the award, which honors the NBA player who excels both on the court and in exhibiting “cooperation and grace in dealing with the media and fans,” according to the organization.

Curry receives his second Johnson Award, having previously earned it in 2016. The other two-time champions are Damian Lillard (2017, 2020) and Shane Battier (2007, 2013).

The five contenders for the award were Curry, Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat), DeMar DeRozan (Chicago Bulls), Rudy Gobert (Minnesota Timberwolves), and Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers).

Curry, 36, has won nearly every accolade in the 15 seasons since the Warriors selected him seventh overall in the 2009 NBA draft. He is a two-time league MVP, four-time NBA champion, ten-time All-Star, four-time All-NBA first-team pick, and a member of the league’s 75th Anniversary Team.

Curry was named the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award for the 2022–23 season, as well as the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Trophy for the Social Justice Champion.

After averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists, Curry won the Clutch Player of the Year award for 2023–24.
