Former President Trump’s Boeing 757 accidentally hit a parked plane while it was taxiing at a Florida airport on Sunday morning.
On Wednesday, Trump made a stop in Cincinnati during his day off from the hush money trial. The purpose of his visit was to attend a private, high-dollar fundraiser. However, he arrived in Ohio without his iconic private jet known as “Trump Force One.”
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has reported that no injuries were reported when his plane collided with another aircraft. The extent of the damage caused by the incident is currently unknown.
Trump’s plane arrived at Palm Beach International Airport around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday. As the plane was taxiing, one of its winglets, the tip on the end of the wing, accidentally hit the rear elevator of a parked aircraft.
The parked plane, which is registered to VistaJet, a private charter company, had no occupants, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. This information was first reported by The New York Times.
The FAA has confirmed that the incident took place in a non-aircraft directing area of the airport. They have stated that they will conduct an investigation to determine what exactly occurred.
According to The Times, the Boeing plane is registered to DJT Operations I LLC, a company owned by Trump before his presidency.
There has been speculation regarding the potential seizure of Trump Force One as part of the civil fraud penalty faced by the former president in New York. In order to prevent the seizure of his assets, Trump posted a $175 million bond in the case on April 1. This move was made to appeal the $464 million judgement against him.
Trump, who must attend court weekly for his hush money trial, frequently finds himself making campaign announcements in unconventional settings, such as the Manhattan courtroom or airport runways, rather than in front of his supporters.
