After personally meeting former President Donald Trump at their construction site, two Steamfitters Local 638 members said their support for the 45th president had gone “through the roof.”
“We all love him,” Gary Zuto told “The Bottom Line” on Thursday, following his encounter with Trump that morning. “He takes care of the country that we live in, and that’s what we love.”
I see it on the job. “Everybody has Trump stickers on their hard hats,” Zuto’s coworker Ronald Dioguard said. “They simply regard him as a passionate president for their country.”It’s clear how much he cares about the country. “It is not even a question.”
Crowds screamed “four more years” as Trump dropped by a construction site in New York City to express gratitude for their support during his continuing trial.
The former president’s caravan arrived to greet the hundreds of admirers and union workers demanding signatures and photographs, including Zuto and Dioguard.
On the scene, Trump told reporters that he was grateful for the “amazing show of affection” ahead of his appearance in Manhattan Court and a major US Supreme Court hearing on presidential immunity in Washington, D.C.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” Dioguard explained. “I was thrilled; I couldn’t even sleep last night knowing that he was coming.”
“I thought it was a good look for him,” he said, “because I know Joe Biden can’t do that; just show up to a job site.”
“There’s no ice cream store near us,” Zuto added.
Both union workers expressed their support for Trump’s economic and energHowever, the increase in the number of illegal immigrants in New York is the most important issue for them.
“These are the guys who are taking our jobs for $10 per hour cash,” Zuto explained. “They’re not putting anything back into the system.”
“People are tired of paying exorbitant petrol prices. The meal is just excellent.” People can’t afford to buy a house because of the high interest rates,” he continued. “People are sick of it, and it’s going all across the board.”
The union members projected that two-thirds of their coworkers will vote for Trump in November, citing their agreement with the former president’s “put America first” approach.
“Mr. Trump actually asked me; he said, ‘Do you think I got a shot in New York?'” Dioguard recalls. “I said, ‘Absolutely.'”
