A woman was killed Tuesday night in Kansas City, Missouri, when a fast automobile became airborne and collided head-on with her car. According to police, around 7:10 p.m., a silver Honda Pilot was traveling east at a rapid pace on East 43rd Street. The automobile crossed Virginia Avenue, became airborne, landed, and collided with the woman’s car. According to authorities, the Honda struck two wooden utility poles before flipping onto its roof. The unnamed woman passed away in the hospital. The hospital treated the driver and passenger in the Honda for non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the woman was the 49th person killed in a traffic incident in KCMO in 2024. Last year at this time, 39 people were killed in KCMO traffic crashes.
