Gifty Ayew Asare earns NOC player of the week honors

Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa women’s soccer player of the week is Gifty Ayew Asare from Accra, Ghana.
Head Coach Juan de Dios Castillo made the selection for the week ending Sept. 4.
“She has scored 3 hat tricks and her total this season is 11 goals in 6 games. She also has 6 assists,” Castillo said of the 18-year-old midfielder.
Asare, a freshman at NOC, was a member of the Ghana U17 National team.
As of Sept. 9 the Lady Mavs are undefeated after six games.
Their next home game will be Sept. 22 against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College at 4 p.m.
Bryson Reed earns NOC player of the week honors

Bryson Reed of Stillwater has been named the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa soccer player of the week ending Sept. 4.
According to Mavericks Head Men’s Coach Michael DuRoy, “Bryson started two games as a goalkeeper this week and started one as a forward. He allowed three goals as a goal keeper and scored three goals as a forward in the Mavs’ 6-1 win over Allen County Community College Sept.3.”
Reed is a freshman goalkeeper/forward.
The Maverick men’s record is 4-2 as of Sept. 7.
The Mavericks’ next home game is September 22 against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College at 4 p.m.
